In 2008 Stretch Tents developed a revolutionary new fabric called MultiStretch FR™ for manufacturing Stretch Tents.
MultiStretch FR™ is produced in Europe to the world’s highest standards, meeting New Zealand and Australian fire standard AS1530.2, European standard NF P 92-507 (2004) and California AC Title 19, section 1237 for membrane structures and is 100% waterproof.
Our tents are made in New Zealand using state of the art welding techniques alongside traditional sail-making craftmanship, something we’re proud of in this sailing-mad country!
In 2009 we opened Stretch tents Auckland and later that year our first Stretch Tents hire business partner, Stretch Tents Central, came on board.
We now cover New Zealand with five Stretch Tents hire business partners and have developed a business model from real business experience in the Stretch Tents hire industry.
We first started exporting tents in 2012. As a manufacturer in a well-regulated 1st world country, we believe our tents stand up to any similar product worldwide.
Manufacturing Stretch Tents for over a decade, with 5 marquee hire partners erecting tents since 2009. So tried and tested, passing all NZ legal certifications.
Our fabric, MultiStretch FR™, has been developed exclusively for Stretch Tents, The end result meets NZ structural certification up to 1000 sqm. From rigging equipment, poles, pegs, custom made pole rubbers, webbings, etc - all materials used in the manufacturing of our tents have been tested for over 12 years.
New Zealand made is about a hands-on commitment to innovative design, quality of materials and attention to detail. Stretch Tents believe with these commitments we have a product that will stand up to any Stretch Tents, Bedouin Tents or Freeform tents manufactured globally.
Stretch Tents are 100% waterproof. MultiStretch FR™ fabric has been tested by using a water head testing procedure. Combined with our hybrid seaming technique using the latest welding technology creates a 100% waterproof seam.
MultiStretch FR™ fabric has a fire retardant added in the production of the fabric and has been tested to meet the New Zealand and Australian fire standard AS1530.2, European standard NF P 92-507 (2004) and California AC Title 19, section 1237 for membrane structures making them safe and legal for any event.
We can make custom made tents, Multi Stretch fabric comes in 1.5m wide rolls and can be cut down to accommodate almost any size of tent.
